North Edge Build (“we”, “us”) operates this website and provides outdoor construction services in Toronto & the GTA. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It reflects the principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario practice.

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us through the quote form or by contacting us directly:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• The property address or general location of the project
• The service you are interested in and your project description
• Your preferred contact method
• Any photo you optionally attach
• Your consent confirmation

When a form is submitted, our server also processes limited technical information such as your IP address. This is used to apply rate limits and block automated or abusive submissions.

Why we use it

We use your information solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange work you have requested, and keep a record of our correspondence with you. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Consent and withdrawal of consent

Submitting the quote form with the consent checkbox ticked gives us permission to contact you about that request. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing northedgefence@gmail.com or replying to any message from us asking us to stop. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a quote or coordinate work.

CASL — commercial electronic messages

In line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation, we send electronic messages only where we have your consent or an existing business relationship with you, we identify ourselves, and we include a way to unsubscribe or ask us to stop. We do not sell or rent contact details.

Data retention

We keep quote requests and related correspondence only as long as needed to respond, deliver any work you engage us for, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Requests that do not lead to work are deleted once they are no longer needed for follow-up.

Access, correction and deletion

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email northedgefence@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to confirm your identity first. Some information may be retained where the law requires it.

Third-party data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Information you send is handled by us and by the technical service providers that host and deliver this website and our email — they process it only to provide those services.

Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling to make decisions about you. Quotes and project decisions are made by people. The only automated processing on this site is the anti-spam and rate-limiting check applied to form submissions, which may block a submission; if that happens you can still reach us by phone or WhatsApp.

AI use disclosure

Some text and illustrative imagery on this website was produced with the assistance of AI tools and reviewed by us before publication. AI is not used to make decisions about you, and information you submit through the quote form is not used to train AI models.

Security and breach notification

We take reasonable measures to protect information submitted through this site, including server-side validation, rate limiting, upload restrictions and encrypted connections. No method of transmission is completely secure. If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required.
